Auto-recording is continuous, hands-free loop layering: each overdub pass stops itself exactly at the loop boundary and immediately starts the next pass, so you can stack layers without touching anything between takes.
Using auto-record
- Enable auto-record on a track with its toggle in the track controls.
- Start recording — your first pass sets the loop length, as usual.
- When the loop completes, recording stops and an overdub starts automatically.
- Each completed pass becomes its own layer, cycling until you stop it.
- Press stop to end the cycle; this also switches auto-record off.
Timing is sample-accurate — the switchover happens inside the audio engine, not in the interface — so layers land exactly on the loop boundary. Undo (Z) still removes the most recent layer, exactly as with manual overdubs.
The per-track toggle is the amber Auto lamp on that track’s pedal, at the bottom of the Looper view — click it to turn auto-record on or off for that track.
